Quentin Tarantino has a fine eye for talent, especially talent that is sometimes over looked.  That’s why it’s no surprise that M.C. Gainey is in talks to take on a role in Tarantino’s upcoming Django Unchained.

M.C. Gainey, who may be best known for his recent role on Lost, is currently in talks to play the supporting role of Big John Brittle.

The role is not a particularly large one but it is a fantastic supporting role that could potentially put the actor back on the map. The character is one of three Brittle brothers, who are the outlaws that sell off Django and Broomhilda. Gainey, in my opinion, would be perfect for the role of a sadistic old rapist and can definitley bring the persona needed for the part.

Django Unchained currently has several actors in talks which include Kurt Russell for the role of Ace Woody, left vacant by Kevin Costner, Kerry Washington for the role of Django wife, Broomhilda, and Boardwalk Empire’s Michael K. Williams for an undisclosed role.

Django Unchained stars Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Dennis Christopher, Gerald McRaney and Laura Cayouette and is in cinemas on December 25th, 2012.
