That’s Arthur Bishop, Jason Statham’s hardboiled schemer who is due to light up the screens once more in this summer’s Mechanic: Resurrection, the sequel-cum-reboot arriving by way of Summit Entertainment.

Appointing We Are the Night director Dennis Gansel behind the lens, the studio’s Resurrection unashamedly leans on “that one last job” cliché, drawing The Stath back to a criminal underworld he thought he left behind. As was revealed back in April, it is the introduction of Jessica Alba’s “cunning yet beautiful” character that forces our grizzled hero to return to the fray. And it seems there’s trouble in paradise. Michelle Yeoh rounds out the core cast.

Summit Entertainment’s sequel/reboot/revival is booked in to land in theaters on August 26. Will you be indulging in The Stath’s return to the cult action series when the Mechanic: Resurrection opens?
