Megan Fox Will Reunite With Michael Bay For Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

After the public falling-out between Megan Fox and Michael Bay before Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it seemed that the odds of the two working together again were very slim. However, it turns out that the two have found a way to put their differences aside, as Fox is set to take on the role of April O'Neil in the Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I guess Bay being a "nightmare to work for" doesn't matter if he isn't actually directing.

After the public falling-out between Megan Fox and Michael Bay before Transformers: Dark of the Moon, it seemed that the odds of the two working together again were very slim. However, it turns out that the two have found a way to put their differences aside, as Fox is set to take on the role of April O’Neil in the Bay-produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I guess Bay being a “nightmare to work for” doesn’t matter if he isn’t actually directing.

Supposedly Fox and Bay reconciled over a recent series of meetings, but what really sold her on the project was a meeting with director Jonathan Liebesman where she was blown away by the storyboards. Fox beat out Jane Levy, Anna Kendrick and Elizabeth Olsen, all who were reportedly being considered for the role.

The filmmakers are currently testing actors for the roles of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael who are going to be motion captured for the big screen. No names have been leaked, but most reports are saying the actors in consideration are mostly relative unknowns.

I must say I’m a bit confused by this casting. Fox has done nothing as an actress that has impressed me, and with the bad blood between her and Bay, I just don’t see any reason for him to make any effort to get her involved in another franchise.

Elizabeth Olsen on the other hand, would’ve been an excellent choice. When I heard she was in consideration, I was extremely excited. Bay may be making a big mistake by not choosing Olsen but hopefully Fox surprises me. I’m not optimistic though.

Ninja Turtles is expected to hit theaters May 16th, 2014.
