Everyone’s excited for another Michael Bay film. Am I right? Well, whether you are or not, Paramount Pictures have set a release date of April 26, 2013 for his next film, Pain and Gain. In addition to the release date, there’s also a poster out for the film and it can be seen below.

The film, based on a series of Miami New Times articles, tells the true story of  “a couple of Florida steroid-abusing knucklehead bodybuilders who become criminals involved in an extortion ring and a kidnapping plot that goes horribly awry.”

It stars Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the bodybuilders/kidnappers (naturally), with supporting roles going to Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Rob Corddry, Ken Jeong, Tony Shalhoub, and Rebel Wilson.

While I wasn’t a fan of Bay’s Transformers films, I’ll admit that I’m kind of looking forward to this. I enjoyed both Bad Boys movies, and this seems like it could be pretty similar.

Anyone else looking forward to seeing Bay operate on a much smaller scale with Pain and Gain?
