Not that this should surprise anyone, but Michael Caine has been confirmed for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar. The actor actually spilt the beans on this last Summer but now we’re receiving official confirmation from Deadline. There’s no word on which role Caine will play but we do know that he’ll join an impressive cast which boasts Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, who just signed on the other day.
The film, which was developed by Nolan’s brother Jonathan, is slowly starting to come together and all things considered, the director will likely deliver another masterpiece. As is the case with all his films, plot details are hard to come by but we do know that Interstellar will deal with concepts like time travel and alternate dimensions. Though specifics aren’t known at this time, from what we’re hearing, the film tells the story of “a group of explorers who go through a wormhole.”
Production is set to begin later this year with Nolan planning to shoot a good part of the film in IMAX, so there’s another thing to get excited about. The release date for this one is November 7th, 2014 and yes, we’ve already planned a sick day. You should do so too.
