Apparently Christian Bale has dropped out of talks to star in Noah, the upcoming Darren Aronofsky film. However, Aronofsky has already spoken to Michael Fassbender about taking on the role and it looks like he may.

With Bale’s currently being talked about for every role under the sun, it’s no surprise that he can’t take all of them. So far he is shooting two Terrence Malick films, Lawless and Knight Of Cups, for the first 6 months of next year and is also rumoured to have been offered several other films, including the lead role opposite Beyonce in Clint Eastwood‘s remake of A Star Is Born, which is scheduled to shoot right after Bale wraps the Malick films in July.

Though many believe, myself included, that Bale would have made a fantastic Noah and it would have been great to see him in a Darren Aronofsky film, Michael Fassbender would be an amazing replacement. No deals have been finalized yet, but Fassbender has discussed the part with Aronofsky.

Fassbender’s schedual is a little more open than Bale’s as well, with him reuniting with his Shame director, Steve McQueen, in January to shoot 12 Years A Slave.

We will be sure to bring you any more news on the project as it surfaces.
