A couple of days ago, it was announced that Michael Shannon had been cast as General Zod in Zack Snyder‘s reboot of the Superman franchise, called Man of Steel. Today we get a piece of video footage from an ‘on stage’ interview at RiverRun International Film Festival where he talks about the process he went through to get the role previously inhabited by Terence Stamp. Shannon seems perfect for the role and after giving us a brilliant performance in Boardwalk Empire recently, hopefully this will see the versatile actor launched into the mainstream.
