That New Avengers: Endgame Photo May Reveal The Key To Reversing The Snap

A few days ago, a promotional image for Avengers: Endgame released on the Orville Redenbacher website gave the world its first official look at the team’s new costumes. Naturally, there was a lot to process, from Iron Man’s next suit, to a potential tease of Professor Hulk. But one little detail that’s easy to overlook is a circular device on the back of Black Widow’s wrist which could well be of critical importance in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel.

This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes sporting this mysterious accessory. For one thing, a toy leak from last month showed Thor wearing the device as part of his new white suit. Before that, the prop could be seen on the wrists of Ant-Man and Iron Man in leaked set photos that appeared to show the pair journeying back to the Battle of New York from 2012’s The Avengers.

Now it seems that Natasha Romanoff will also have the device on her hand, and while it remains to be seen what exactly the purpose of this object will be, fans have long associated the item with the popular prediction that the upcoming film will see our heroes travel back in time.

Granted, a time travel storyline has yet to be confirmed, but the evidence seems to be mounting every month, and this would certainly be the most obvious explanation for how Scott Lang and an older-looking Tony Stark could possibly be revisiting the events of the first Avengers movie.

In any case, whether they’re time travel devices or just walkie-talkies, we’ll find out what the point of these little wrist accessories is when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
