New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ TV spot reveals first look at an all-important scene

Only four weeks to go!

We’re entering the danger zone, people. Depending on your point of view, the run-up to a new Marvel release is either a treat — for those who love nothing better than to pore over each new promo for every scrap of fresh footage — or it’s a nightmare — as it can be hard to avoid spoilers for those who prefer to go into the movie blind. So with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania just a few weeks away, it’s either time to start drowning in all the promotion or swimming in the exact opposite direction.

Those who enjoy discovering new footage will want to check out this latest TV spot, though, which unveils some fresh shots and even a clip that comes from an all-important scene — the moment when Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) are first sucked into the Quantum Realm. Check it out below:

Although Scott is an old-hat at trekking through the mini-universe at this point, first-timer Cassie is naturally freaked out by the scenario. “It’s like we’re camping. We love camping,” Scott says, in an attempt to calm her down. Cassie then hits back with a truth bomb: “We’ve never been camping!” Scott shrugs and admits, “Well, we’ve always talked about it.”

As well as being a fun exchange, this reference to Scott and Cassie’s lost time together also serves as a reminder for Ant-Man’s motivations in this film, as Jonathan Majors’ Kang will be able to manipulate the hero into doing his bidding in exchange for promising to fix the timeline so he gets the years he was trapped in the Quantum Realm back.

We’ll find out if Kang really will succeed in shattering the timeline when Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania shrinks onto cinemas on Feb. 17.
