The Marvel Cinematic Universe officially reached its 10th birthday on May 2nd, 2018 – five short days after the launch of Avengers: Infinity War, no less – and still, the Powers That Be continue to pump out one featurette after another to celebrate what is undoubtedly Hollywood’s most successful film franchise, well, ever.

At $17 billion (and change) after 20 mainline installments, the MCU has grossed more than Harry Potter, James Bond and Lucasfilm’s rebooted Star Wars saga. To be fair, with the exception of 007, there aren’t many movie franchises in Hollywood that have released 20 or more installments, though it’s a credit to Marvel Studios that even after all these years, audiences still flock to see the latest incarnation of the MCU – be it Infinity War or Ant-Man and the Wasp – in their droves.

Which brings us to this latest featurette. Included on the upcoming Blu-ray release of Infinity War, it’s a two-and-a-half minute tribute to all things MCU, beginning with the man who started it all – Tony Stark. Oh, and Kevin Feige, of course…

As Joe Russo so rightly says, Avengers: Infinity War has been 10 years in the making, and is therefore a “very, very unique” film. Frankly, we couldn’t agree more, and the ways in which Marvel has constructed this most ambitious franchise has really set a new standard for cinematic universes all over Hollywood. Here’s to the next 20 years, beginning with the launch of Captain Marvel in March.

And Infinity War? It’s available right now on digital and will make the journey over to Blu-ray and DVD in time for Tuesday, August 14th, by which point you’ll be able to enjoy Marvel’s crowning achievement to your heart’s content.
