New Character Descriptions For Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Surface

This Friday is Rogue Friday, which means that a whole bunch of toys, clothes, collectibles and more will be made available for Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Hopefully we'll also be getting a lot of new information on the film at that point as well, but before all that happens, Making Star Wars has revealed a couple of new character descriptions that give us a look at some of the aliens and Stormtroopers we'll be seeing come December.

This Friday is Rogue Friday, which means that a whole bunch of toys, clothes, collectibles and more will be made available for Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Hopefully we’ll also be getting a lot of new information on the film at that point as well, but before all that happens, Making Star Wars has revealed a couple of new character descriptions that give us a look at some of the aliens and Stormtroopers we’ll be seeing come December.

We aren’t given much, but here’s what we learnt…..

Moroff  – A Gigoran mercenary who offers up his services as a gunner during the war between the Rebels and the Empire.

Rebel Commando Pao – Part of the Drabata species, Pao is a member of the Rogue One team and will help them steal the plans for the Death Star. He’s also got a signature battle cry in the form of “Sa’Kalla!”

Scarif Stormtrooper Commander – Stationed at a top-secret Imperial Military base on Skarif, these specialist stormtroopers patrol the beaches and bunkers and will no doubt be heading into battle with the Rebels.

Hovertank Driver Imperial – This combat driver is in charge of the Empire’s armored repulsor vehicles and relies on his vehicle’s thick skin to protect him in battle.

So, there you have it. It’s not much, but a few of these guys do sound interesting, particularly Moroff. It’s also important to note that we now have confirmation that Jyn’s team is called “Rogue One,” as suspected. Other than that, there’s nothing terribly notable here, but as we said before, this Friday should bring with it a ton of new information.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres on December 16th, and to get acquainted with even more of the film’s characters, be sure to check out the video below.
