New International Promo For Ant-Man And The Wasp Goes Big

Four weeks out from release, and today brings forth a brand new international teaser for Ant-Man and the Wasp, promising heist hijinks and goofy action.

Ant-Man and the Wasp is, on paper, the third and final movie on Marvel’s 2018 slate. But it’s also the perfect palate cleanser after the doom and apocalyptic doom of Infinity War.

Much like its predecessor, Peyton Reed’s diminutive sequel is best described as a heist movie, only this time around, our titular duo will be plunging into the murky depths of the Quantum Realm as part of a last-ditch attempt to retrieve Janet Van Dyne (AKA the original Wasp) before it’s too late.

Doing so won’t be easy, mind you, given the Quantum Realm renders all concepts of time and space irrelevant, but Scott Lang is nothing if not determined. And for this particularly daring mission, he’s found himself a partner: Hope Van Dyne, Evangeline Lilly’s kick-ass hero who’s about to redefine the laws of physics, as today’s new and indeed international promo attests.

Upon delving into the Quantum Realm – otherwise known as the Pandora’s Box of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Ant-Man and the Wasp will encounter danger at every corner, but it’s within this abstract dimension that the duo are supposedly spared from Thanos, who brought about mass destruction during the finale of Avengers: Infinity War.

All of this lends credence to the assertion that Ant-Man and the Wasp has more ties to Avengers 4 (and Captain Marvel, perhaps?) than initially thought, as the 2019 blockbuster is poised to assemble the entire MCU – or, at least, what’s left of it – in order to defeat Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan once and for all. Look for that one to light up theaters next May, long after Ant-Man 2 stages its debut early next month.
