Taken from an upcoming issue of Rolling Stone, a new image from Suicide Squad has been revealed today and it offers up a fresh look at The Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). Their relationship promises to be one of the most intriguing parts of the DC Comics adaptation, and this new photo, which you can see above, only serves to further tease what’s to come.

Up until now, the trailers for Suicide Squad have given the impression that The Joker may only appear in flashbacks revealing Harley’s origin, but this shot makes it clear that the Clown Prince of Crime will also make his presence felt in the present day as Task Force X heads into action against a still very mysterious threat.

Despite rumours that Suicide Squad has undergone reshoots to add some humour to the proceedings, everything we’ve seen of the David Ayer-helmed release looks great so far, and these two characters are no exception. The pressure is on for Warner Bros. to deliver here after the negative response to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and you can bet your life that fans are hoping the ball hasn’t been dropped on these two iconic characters.

Suicide Squad storms into theatres on August 5th, 2016. You can feast your eyes on the new photo above, as well as some previously released ones in the gallery below. Once you’ve done so, let us know if you’re looking forward to the film by dropping a comment in the usual place.
