If you’re up to date on the latest comic book adaptations, by now you’ll be acquainted with Jared Leto’s portrayal of The Joker in Suicide Squad. The movie’s not out for another two months, but the rumors and talk of his method acting tactics continue to flood the web, adding to the carefully-constructed image of a villain who knows no fear.
That’s why this latest pic, that emerged in a report about Viola Davis wanting to pepper spray Leto for his on-set behavior, is so intriguing. Granted, it won’t change anyone’s opinion of the character, but it does show us a concerned side to the devious Crown Prince of Crime as he sits behind the wheel alongside Miss Quinzel.
It’s possible that The Joker bears a worried look because he’s about to face Batman; the image appears to be taken from a well-used scene in trailers and TV spots where the pair of enemies hit the streets in their respective vehicles. It’s a small tease of the crack in his armor, one that we’ll discover more about when Suicide Squad arrives in theaters on August 5, 2016.
