Ever since Avengers: Endgame premiered in theaters, many fans have been hoping that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios think of a way to bring Iron Man back. Like most controversial decisions mades these days within fandoms, a petition has surfaced to resurrect Tony Stark. And at the time of writing, it’s gained over 18,500 signatures.

Though this online complaint will hardly have any bearing on the final decision, many are looking towards Spider-Man: Far From Home for a possible resurrection. One such person is Reddit user VirgelFromage, who thinks they may’ve spotted something that could give Tony a way back into the MCU. And apparently, it’s a new piece of technology that’s featured in the latest TV spot for the upcoming film.

In the 30-second clip, we see Peter Parker interacting with a gadget that looks straight out of the mind of Tony Stark himself. Except the voice isn’t the same as the AI we’ve seen in the past, such as J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., or even Karen.

This makes VirgelFromage think that the “oddly artificial…[and] digital voice” was manipulated for the trailer to hide the familiar one we’d actually hear in the film: Stark.

Seeing Robert Downey Jr. as an AI has become a popular theory following Endgame. And given that there’ve been a couple instances in the comics where Iron Man came back this way, most notably to help Riri Williams become Ironheart, it makes a bit of sense.

With that said, having Stark return to the MCU so soon may not be the best idea, given that a lot of momentum for a possible comeback would be taken away. The rumored Ironheart movie could be a better route to take.

But what do you think? Is VirgelFromage on the right page? Do you want to see Tony return already? Let us know in the comments section below, and be sure to see if this comes true once Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters July 2nd.
