It Comes At Night Continues To Terrify With Two New Promos

Horror, perhaps more than any other genre, spawns countless releases each and every year. Most are low-budget indies and a lot don't even see the inside of a theatre. Admittedly, the vast majority probably aren't even worth a look unless you consider yourself a hardcore fan of the genre. That being said, there's always a few gems that pop up every now and again and It Comes At Night definitely seems to be one of them.

A psychological thriller by name and nature, the film stars Joel Edgerton, Riley Keough (The Girlfriend Experience) and Carmen Ejogo and places them in an “old, backwoods house in the middle of nowhere. It’s the ideal setting for a retirement home, what with the quaint woodland and its relaxing ambiance, but there’s a dark, primordial horror simmering beneath this natural beauty and strange, inexplicable events soon begin to occur under its patchwork roof.”

Also starring Christopher Abbott, Kelvin Harrison Jr. and Carmen Ejogo, It Comes at Night is essentially the story of two warring patriarchs who fight to defend their respective families from a supernatural (?) force, and judging by the new promos we’ve received today – one above and the other below – it looks absolutely terrifying and creepy as all hell. We haven’t been this excited about a horror flick in some time, but something tells us that we’re in for a real treat here.

For those who don’t know, A24 has been on quite the hot streak lately, delivering efforts like The Witch, Moonlight, Green Room and Swiss Army Man. Now, they’re hoping to keep the momentum going with It Comes at Night, and if the early buzz is any indication, they’ll have no problem doing just that. June 9th is the date for your diaries, folks.
