Now You See Me: The Second Act Gunning For A Diversity Of Tricks, According To Mark Ruffalo

Anyone with even a passing interest in magic will tell you that the first rule of being a magician is to never reveal your secrets. Well, thankfully for us, Now You See Me had Avengers star Mark Ruffalo assume the role of a federal agent pursuing the devious Four Horsemen, meaning that he was able to speak freely about the sleight of hand at play within upcoming sequel, Now You See Me: The Second Act.

During an interview with Collider while promoting Marvel’s latest superhero adventure, the actor revealed that he has completed his part in Jon M. Chu’s heist follow-up, and how the director’s approach will incorporate a more diverse range of tricks rather than solely focusing on the Vegas-styled showboating.

Yes. It’s production magic. This goes both ways. It has the bigger things and then it has the slight of hand stuff. And there’s a really satisfying slight of hand thing that goes on and on and on. It’s slight of hand, it’s card manipulation, it’s very cool.

Though the original film was far from perfect, Now You See Me proved to be an entertaining and smart ride, even if it was undercut by a poor pay-off. Still, the thriller proved to be a surprise hit, and with Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan joining the cast — the latter replacing Isla Fisher — the sequel will be hoping to deliver on these promising foundations.

Now You See Me: The Second Act will hope to conjure up box office success when Jon M. Chu’s sequel makes its way to the silver screen in time for June 6, 2016. In the interim, you can let us know what you’d like to see from The Second Act down below.
