All hail Captain Marvel, protector of the skies…

Slowly but surely, the Powers That Be over at Marvel Studios are beginning to dust off their hard-wired marketing machine in anticipation of Captain Marvel, the standalone origin story set to whisk viewers off to the 1990s, where an Air Force pilot by the name of Carol Danvers takes to the skies.

She’s destined to become the MCU’s strongest ever character (or so says Marvel boss Kevin Feige), while we know the Captain Marvel movie, directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, will help bridge the gap between Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel. Oh, and we imagine elements of Ant-Man and the Wasp (i.e. the Quantum Realm) will be thrown in for good measure, too.

But at the forefront of this 90s-set adventure is Brie Larson’s costumed crusader, and thanks to some official Marvel merch spotted on Amazon (h/t Captain Marvel News), we now have a sneak peek at the actress kitted out as Captain Marvel.

Per Amazon, the official description reads:

Celebrate hero Carol Danvers and her exciting entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe with this notebook set featuring imagery from Captain Marvel. Each notebook contains sixty-four ruled, acid-free pages of high-quality paper that invite fans to record their own heroic adventures. This set of notebooks is a must-have for fans of Marvel.

If nothing else, this is further proof that the red-and-blue merchandise is indeed official, though it won’t be available until April 2nd, 2019. That’s around three weeks after the movie debuts in theaters, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on Marvel Studios over the coming weeks and months to see if we can spot any other Captain Marvel merch.

Look for the MCU’s first female-fronted solo movie to take flight on March 8th, 2019, with the first teaser trailer expected in October – four weeks before Marvel Studios begins promoting Avengers 4 and with it, the grand finale of Phase 3.
