After a fantastic teaser trailer dropped yesterday, the promotional campaign for Ridley Scott’s The Counselor has begun. So far, the film looks great and today, we have two new images to share with you.

Providing a glimpse of Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz, the new photos certainly tantalize us for what will surely be an awards contender. Besides having Scott behind the camera, and the aforementioned actors in front, The Counselor will also star Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt and Dean Norris. Plus, there’s the fact that acclaimed writer Cormac McCarthy penned the script.

If you can’t tell already, this one has all the makings of a modern day classic and we could not be more excited for it. The story follows Fassbender’s character, a “lawyer who finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.” Expect a gripping and thrilling crime flick, one that will no doubt compete with some of McCarthy’s other works, like No Country For Old Men.

Stellar cast, top-notch writer, legendary director, mark your calendar now folks, The Counselor is one to keep your eye on and as always, we’ll provide more updates as they arise. For now though, you can check out an excerpt from McCarthy’s script, which was posted on The New Yorker.

The Counselor arrives on October 25th. As you patiently wait for it, check out the new photos below, courtesy of EW, and let us know what you think in the comments.
