Deadline is reporting that Olivia Wilde has joined the cast of Spike Jonze‘s new untitled film, which will also stars Joaquin Phoenix and his The Master co-star Amy Adams, as well as Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star Rooney Mara and Samantha Morton.
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has nabbed the international rights to the feature, which follows the modern and unique story of “a guy (presumably Phoenix) who falls in love with the voice of a computer, similar to the Siri feature on the new iPhone.”
The idea sounds very witty and I’m incredibly interested to see how Jonze plays this one out. He’s a fantastic director and this project has me very excited, it sounds like something right up his alley.
No word yet on a start date but some time this Summer is rumoured as is a 2013 release.
