Partial Description Of Avengers: Infinity War Trailer Surfaces

Unless you were one of the fortunate few in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con - or you happened to catch a bootleg recording of said clip before it was yanked offline four months ago - the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War has been as elusive as they come.

Unless you were one of the fortunate few in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con – or you happened to catch a bootleg recording of said clip before it was yanked offline four months ago – the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War has been as elusive as they come.

In fact, such is the pent-up demand for Marvel’s 2018 preview that Joe and Anthony Russo recently teased fans via social media on the belief that “some things can’t be rushed: good music and good wine.” And the first-look teaser for Infinity War, it seems.

But as we approach the year’s end, and Thor: Ragnarok maintains its grip on the global box office, it’s surely only a matter of weeks before Marvel officially lifts the lid on Avengers: Infinity War. Indeed, last we reported the studio’s head honcho Kevin Feige hinted that it would drop in and around the same timeframe as Ragnarok, so if anything, this is a trailer that’s arguably overdue.

In fact, rumor has it that it’ll be with us in December – early December, for that matter, ensuring that the promo is attached to screenings of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in four weeks’ time. But until then, fans are getting antsy as they wait for their first look at the superhero extravaganza. Thankfully, we are starting to get a few morsels to whet our appetite. A few days ago, a couple of screenshots from the trailer leaked and today, we’ve received a partial description of it.

It’s not much, but seen below is what’s arrived online courtesy of a Redditor. Hardly the most reliable source, mind you, but considering that this is the same individual who leaked those aforementioned screenshots, we’ve got little reason to doubt his intel. Besides, what he’s put forth certainly sounds plausible.

Check it out below and see what you think:

Loki gives the tesseract to Thanos to be spared when Thanos attacks Thor’s ship. Thor, Hulk, and co take on the the Black order while their ship tries to flee. The fight goes bad and Thor is left dangling in space until discovered by the guardians.

The collector’s place is raided and attacked by the black order. The guardians fail to stop them and the reality gem is brought to Thanos.

Thanos is missing the last and important gem, the soul gem. All the avengers assemble to protect it, which is inside Heimdall.

Exciting, right? It’s unknown how much more will be shown in the trailer, but what’s being described here is sure to get fans hyped. Personally, we’re just looking forward to seeing all the sure to be humorous character interactions as we watch certain heroes meet for the first time. Most of these moments will probably be saved for the film itself, but at least we’ll get to see the God of Thunder cross paths with Star-Lord and co., a scene which was shown in the Comic-Con trailer earlier this summer.

It’s said to be a film of “infinite proportions,” according to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, at least, and we’ll finally be able to find out what all the fuss is about when Avengers: Infinity War drops on May 4th, 2018. Soon after that, the MCU will swing its doors open to Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel, the first female-fronted Marvel film, before Avengers 4 ties a bow around Phase 3 in 2019.
