“Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman,” states Patty Jenkins, who took to Twitter to shower praise on her core cast now that principal photography on the director’s standalone feature has officially come to a close.
News arrives soon after Gadot herself revealed that she had wrapped up work on Warner’s 2017 tentpole and as we expected, the remainder of the cast weren’t too far behind. To cap off the experience, Jenkins posted a series of Tweets where the filmmaker not only expressed her excitement to see the final feature come together in post, but also showered praise on Gadot, Chris Pine and the rest of the cast.
Wrapping on William Marston’s birthday – one of the key scribes behind Wonder Woman‘s creation in the early ’40s – here’s what Jenkins had to share via Twitter:
So happy and excited to have wrapped the first Wonder Woman film!! And one William Marston’s birthday, no less! (WW’s creator)

And Chris Pine is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met. He blew my mind and became one of my favorite humans. Mindblowing talent and…

As the DC Extended Universe continues to take shape, Gadot’s Wonder Woman will take center stage in the summer of 2017, where she’ll be flanked by Pine, Lucy Davis, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya and David Thewlis.
Suicide Squad is the next feature to tumble off the Warner Bros. production line in August, but come next Spring moviegoers will be swapping Task Force X for the decadent Amazonians when Wonder Woman takes flight on June 2, 2017.
