Set within the small English town of Enfield, Wan has set his sights on one of the most infamous records of supernatural activity in modern history. Thursting Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga into the thick of it once again as Ed and Lorraine Warren, The Enfield Poltergeist primarily centers on the purported demonic possession of two young girls in the late 70s.

It’s a chilling, blood-curdling tale that has been dramatized across countless documentaries, books and horror films throughout the years, and the filmmaker will be hoping to inject his own horror sensibilities as he looks to bring the story of Peggy Hodgson and her troubled daughters to the masses.

Alongside the returning Wilson and Farmiga are Frances O’Connor and Simon McBurney of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Today’s eerie clip is but a taste of what to expect from The Conjuring 2, so be sure to check back tomorrow when we’ll have coverage of the full-length trailer – you know, just as soon as we work up the courage.

New Line Cinema has set The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist for a release on June 10, 2016. Until then, you can stay ahead of the curve by checking out the first image of Janet (Madison Wolfe), one of the troubled children populating Wan’s horror sequel.
