Peter Dinklage Will Play An R-Rated Leprechaun For Paramount

Peter Dinklage is set to headline a new, R-rated comedy for Paramount Pictures, which will have him playing a man who believes that he is a genuine leprechaun, or at least that's what he tells people. Though it's currently untitled, the film is said to be similar to Bad Santa in that it will be “deep in R-rated territory but wrapped around an emotional heart.”

Peter Dinklage is set to headline a new, R-rated comedy for Paramount Pictures, which will have him playing a man who believes that he is a genuine leprechaun, or at least that’s what he tells people. Though it’s currently untitled, the film is said to be similar to Bad Santa in that it will be “deep in R-rated territory but wrapped around an emotional heart.”

Writer Andrew Dodge is the man penning the script but currently, there is no director attached. Still, with Dinklage headlining and Dodge, who is coming off the successful Bad Words, on writing duties, I have high hopes for this one.

I loved Bad Santa, so to hear that this film will be similar definitely has me excited. Plus, Peter Dinklage is a fantastic actor who has really broken out since Game of Thrones premiered. He has a big role in the upcoming blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past and adding another starring role to his resume with Paramount’s upcoming comedy will only further boost his profile in Hollywood.

Also, Dodge’s Bad Words has been compared to Bad Santa in its mostly positive reviews, so that’s another encouraging sign for this project.

Would you rather see Peter Dinklage stick to dramatic roles, or are you excited to see him headline a comedy? Let us know in the comments section below.
