Cable Network Sued For Showing Pirated Version Of Avengers: Endgame

A touching biopic about Earth's mightiest heroes, which goes by the moniker Avengers: Endgame, has been making the rounds in theaters lately, making a pretty penny at the box office in the process. Some people, however, apparently don't wish to give our Disney overlords any more of their hard earned cash. Yep, someone got their hands on a terrible, awful, no good, very bad camcorder quality rip of Avengers: Endgame and proudly displayed it as a pay-per-view event. The cable organization, Orient Cable and Telecommunications, now faces up to a $30,000 fine and, potentially, the imprisonment of the executives of the company. Much like the Russo brothers had you locked in your seats for three hours, these movie fraudsters may wind up locked up somewhere else for a little longer.

In all honesty though, that probably won’t happen. Since the quality was so low, making it technically not Marvel’s genuine version of the film, not much will come of this. The only reason it caught any traction in the first place was because some fans had, or still have, major cases of FOAS (Fear of Avengers Spoilers). Most of the complaints were only filed because nobody wanted to see Iron Man and Captain America make out…I mean, nothing! Just kidding, guys, no spoilers here…not yet, anyway.

Anyways, when faced with the request to remove the film from their library, they did. But, uh, they immediately put up a pirated copy of Captain Marvel instead, so, uh, ya know, these guys may not be the brightest bulbs on your LED display. Maybe don’t steal movies, folks. You wouldn’t steal a car. So don’t steal Avengers: Endgame.
