Images of a fully-costumed Tom Hiddleston, who played the main villain Loki in this summer’s hit superhero film Thor and will reprise the role in next summer’s The Avengers, have been released. While the look of many of the antagonists in the upcoming movie, which is being directed by Joss Whedon, have yet to be released, due to their computer-generated imagery, the look of the Skrulls’ commander has been spotted.
Latino Review released the photos of Hiddleston, who is currently filming The Avengers in Cleveland with his Thor co-star, Chris Hemsworth, who’s once again portraying Loki’s superhero brother. Chris Evans, who is reprising his role of Steve Rogers/Captain America from this summer’s Captain America: The First Avenger, is also on the set, as seen in the many photos and videos that have been released.
But while Evans and Hemsworth are filming scenes that are set in New York City, Hiddleston’s character is supposed to be in a beer garden in Stuttgart, Germany. However, there’s no word yet why he is there and how Germany will tie into the plot, or if it will at all.
Check out the photos of the fully costumed Hiddleston above and the video of him on set below and let us know what you think.
The Avengers hits theaters on May 4, 2012.
