Though we knew that Terrence Malick’s sixth film would be a love story with an all star cast, the rest of the details have escaped us, until now. It seems that Malick is having a week of big reveals, after only the other day announcing that he will shoot two films back to back next year, titled Lawless and King Of Cups. We also know that Terrence Malick is working on a documentary titled Voyage In Time as well as a 6 hour cut of The Tree Of Life.

Today we get even more news concerning the director as the first plot synopsis from his untitled love story, rumoured to be The Burial, has slipped onto the internet. Check it out below.

“[I]t concerns a philanderer (Ben Affleck) who, feeling at loose ends, travels to Paris, where he enters a hot-and-heavy affair with a European woman (Olga Kurylenko). Said Lothario returns home to Oklahoma, where he marries the European woman (in part for visa reasons). When the relationship founders, he rekindles a romance with a hometown girl (Rachel McAdams) with whom he’s had a long history.”

Sounds much less conceptual than The Tree Of Life, but who knows with Malick, it can turn out to be anything, right?

The untitled love story stars Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Olga Kurylenko, Javier Bardem, Rachel Weisz, Michael Sheen, Amanda Peet, Barry Peper and Jessica Chastain and is due for release in 2012, with a possible appearance at Cannes this May.
