Reprising his role as Bryan Mills, Liam Neeson is currently hard at work on Taken 2, the sequel to his hit film that re-established the actor’s public image as a bonafide leading man for action movies.
Though we saw a few stills a while back, today we have the first poster. It’s nothing special but it does serve as a reminder that the film isn’t too far off now. Colombiana director Olivier Megaton will be sitting in the director’s chair this time around and the film will see “revenge enacted upon Bryan Mills and his daughter (Maggie Grace) having to save him.”
In my eyes, not much can go wrong with this one. Both Neeson and Grace are returning and I’m completely fine with Megaton in the director’s seat.
He’s proven with films like Colombiana and Transporter 3 that he can handle fast paced and exhilarating action and that’s exactly what Taken 2 needs to emulate the success of its predecessor. So as of now, my hopes are high for this one.
Taken 2 will be released on October 5th, 2012.
