First Poster For Fifty Shades Of Grey Gives Away Very Little

It's not much, but today we finally have our first official look at Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film. With his back turned to us, we can't really see a whole lot and the poster is actually quite tame, especially when coming from a property such as Fifty Shades of Grey. Perhaps the next bit of marketing material will take a few more risks? I suppose only time will tell.

It’s not much, but today we finally have our first official look at Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film. With his back turned to us, we can’t really see a whole lot and the poster is actually quite tame, especially considering that it’s from a property such as Fifty Shades of Grey. Perhaps the next bit of marketing material will take a few more risks? I suppose only time will tell.

Starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, respectively, the Sam Taylor-Johnson directed movie is aiming for a February 13th, 2015 release date, according to IMDB at least. The poster actually says it’s set to release on Valentine’s Day, which is the 14th, so there’s a bit of confusion there. Regardless, the film will be in theatres just in time for the most romantic holiday of the year, in case you want to take your loved one to go see it.

According to sources close to the project, the movie won’t be as racy as the book. Given the fact that there’s been no footage released yet though, it’s hard to know exactly how this one will turn out. I have no doubt that it will be toned down a bit, but at the same time, they do have to keep most of the content in there as that’s what made the book so popular in the first place. It will be a tricky balance to strike and I’ll admit that I’m interested in seeing how they do it.

Check out the poster below and let us know if you’ve come to terms yet with the fact that there will be a Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
