Now that it’s been moved to a January 17th, 2014 release date, Paramount’s Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit has some extra time to beef up its marketing campaign. On that note, we have several new photos and a new poster to share with you today, offering some additional looks at the film.

Though I did have high hopes for this one, and am still remaining optimistic, the fact that the studio has pushed it to a January release date has me worried. Admittedly, I like what I’ve seen from it so far but dropping your film in January is never a good sign. I mean really, how many January releases have actually gone on to do well with critics and/or at the box office? It happens, but not often, and January is usually the month that studios drop their garbage in.

That being said, the only reason the film was pushed back was to make room for Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf Of Wall Street. Paramount originally had a Christmas release date set for Jack Ryan, so who knows, it could end up being a hit.

Either way, we’re definitely interested in seeing how this reboot turns out. At this stage, Pine has more than proven himself as a leading man and I’m excited to see him headlining another franchise. Plus, with a supporting cast that includes Kevin Costner, Kenneth Branagh and Keira Knightley, I’d be surprised if this one completely bombs.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit will storm into theatres on January 17th, 2014. Check out the images below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
