Posters For The Amazing Spider-Man

A new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man hit the internet today. It’s not terribly revealing as it shows a sleek shot of the new logo and the updated Spidy suit. No tagline, no actors/actresses, nothing.
The poster was revealed at Comic-Con and follows the debut of the teaser trailer, which hit the internet yesterday. While the poster may not be much to go on, the trailer certainly is.
A lot of people have been buzzing about the first person point of view sequence that took place at the end of the trailer. While it was a neat scene, I’m not entirely sure I’d like to see them go that route for the film. It feels like something better suited to a videogame, where you can control the character. I don’t think it would work well in the film if they used that POV for all the shots of Spidy swinging around town.
Considering the film is going to be in 3D, I can see a lot of motion sickness resulting from this if they decide to use this POV and I think it would just become disorienting for audiences. I’m hoping it’s something that was only done for the trailer and won’t appear in the actual film.
Check out the poster for The Amazing Spider-Man below and expect more news shortly as I’m sure a couple new things will be revealed this week at Comic-Con.
The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary. It will open in IMAX and 3D on July 3rd, 2012,
