And already we’re beginning to see the fruits of that labor, now that Disney has unleashed a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it teaser for Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book.

Set to bring Rudyard Kipling’s classic adventure to life like never before, the House of Mouse is meshing together live-action effects with intricate VFX shots in a manner that’s not too dissimilar to Ang Lee’s Life of Pi. It’s a technique we can glimpse in today’s spot, showcasing Idris Elba’s ferocious tiger and jungle VIP Shere Khan and Christopher Walken’s formidable King Louie. Elba and Walken are only two stars from The Jungle Book‘s ensemble that are set to be completely computer animated, with a similar treatment reserved for Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson as the seductive Kaa and Lupita Nyong’o and Ralph Ineson as Mowgli’s adoptive wolf-parents.

Prepare to take a walk on the wild side when Disney premieres the all-new trailer for The Jungle Book during Sunday’s Super Bowl.

The Jungle Book is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan (voice of Idris Elba), who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (voice of Ben Kingsley), and the free-spirited bear Baloo (voice of Bill Murray).
