Real Steel And Friends With Benefits Posters

Two new posters have hit the web today, the first being for the upcoming robot boxing film, Real Steel and the second for the Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis romantic comedy about having a strictly sexual relationship, Friends with Benefits. It's odd that these two very different movies manage to get the same reaction out of me when I view the posters, which is "meh". I'm not really feeling the gigantic robot arm trying to pull itself up for one last fight and I find that most romantic comedies end up with very dull posters. They should really try and capitalize on the comedy or sex angle of Friends with Benefits and maybe not try and make it look like another generic affair. Real Steel looks horrible to begin with and I don't think any poster is going to cover that up even if it has some sort of awesome design.

I’m not really feeling the gigantic robot arm trying to pull itself up for one last fight and I find that most romantic comedies end up with very dull posters. They should really try and capitalize on the comedy or sex angle of Friends with Benefits and maybe not try and make it look like another generic affair. Real Steel looks horrible to begin with and I don’t think any poster is going to cover that up even if it has some sort of awesome design.

Posters aren’t that big of a deal though, tons of great movies have had horrible posters and vice versa, but it’s nice to see the occasional unique poster which is becoming something of a rarity. Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman and opens everywhere on October 7th, 2011 while Friends with Benefits opens up this summer on July 22nd, 2011.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
