You might be asking yourself who is Rebel Wilson, and it would be a valid question because until recently, she was a nobody. But then she did Bridesmaids, and then Bachelorette and then Pitch Perfect and she’s also going to be in Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain, so now she’s a somebody and if this recent news story turns out to be true, she might be a big deal in the near future.

In a recent interview, the actress let slip that she may make an appearance in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. When she was asked whether she would be involved in the next film in the series, she replied with the following:

“Um, seriously, I have had a meeting about being in The Hunger Games. Yes. [T]here aren’t a lot of roles open, because they’ve all already been cast, but that would be awesome,” she said. “I’d love to be in The Hunger Games.”

Unfortunately, she doesn’t specify which role she was in talks for, nor does she specify which film she’ll appear in. That being said, with Catching Fire already done shooting, we’re guessing the film that she’s talking about is Mockingjay.

Personally, I’m not too familiar with Wilson’s work, though I have seen Bridesmaids and did enjoy watching her in that film. She seems like a bit of an unlikely choice for Mockingjay but if they can make it work then I say sure, go for it! It’s always nice to see fresh faces join the franchise and Wilson is a star on the rise who would definitely benefit from the added exposure of a film like this.
