This week, a new red band trailer for Jason Statham’s Homefront spread throughout the web, and we have it below for your viewing pleasure.

If there was ever a reliable modern day action star who delivers 10 times out of 10, you needn’t look any further than The Stath. His body of work has grown increasingly more impressive as time has passed, and here he looks to be in top form as an ex-DEA agent who moves to a seemingly quiet town with his daughter, only to bash heads with a local meth king (James Franco).

And speaking of heads, many of them are used to break and ricochet off various objects such as glass, solid wall and concrete floors. Homefront looks to have brought back traditional blood squibs too, in lieu of the more obviously misplaced CGI blood that populates far too many action pictures these days, so that’s a breath of fresh air.

Then, there’s also The Stath doing what he does best, and while many will argue that he does the exact same thing in every movie, isn’t that why we watch his work in the first place? To bear witness to him delivering a supremely epic beatdown to scumbags who deserve it?

As for James Franco, once again he’s making sure to keep his filmography fresh with varied performances and in Homefront, he looks pretty menacing as the bad guy. I’m very excited to see him go head to head with Statham.

Homefront hits the big screen on November 27th, check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
