Retro Super 8 Poster And NSFW The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Poster

Two new posters have surfaced online. One for the upcoming J.J. Abrams monster film, Super 8 and the other for the upcoming U.S. adaptation of the Stieg Larsson novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is being directed by David Fincher. While both the films and the posters are very different from each other, they both can be described as awesome!

Two very different posters for two very different movies have surfaced online today and they both look very awesome. The first poster is for the J.J. Abrams directed monster movie, Super 8. It has the old school vibe going for it which fits the movie perfectly. I’m sure they were going for a Spielberg feel like Indiana Jones with the painted posted opposed to a normal styled poster and they hit the nail on the head. It’s funny how such a simple poster like this one can be so effective.

Super 8 stars Elle Fanning, Amanda Michalka and Kyle Chandler and it opens up in theaters this Friday on June 10th, 2011. Check out the poster below thanks to TheFilmStage:

The next poster is for the upcoming U.S. adaption of the Stieg Larrson novel, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which is being directed by David Fincher and starring Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard and Robin Wright.

Sony has begun such a weird marketing campaign for a very dark film. I was curious to see how they would appeal this to American audiences and it looks like they are focusing on the dark story, sex, violence and the general unsettling feeling of the film. The new poster keeps that dark and brooding mood still intact. I’m really starting to like the way Sony is handling this film. Let’s hope they keep it up!

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo opens up in theaters on December 21st, 2011. Check out the poster below. It’s slightly NSFW.

I'm an avid watcher of films and I just love discussing and sharing them with the world. I enjoy horror, sci-fi and mostly any genre under the sun, plus I have a slight obsession with Blu-ray's and the whole high definition craze.
