Revealing New Synopsis For David Ayer’s Suicide Squad Released

A new plot synopsis for Suicide Squad has surfaced thanks to a listing by DC Entertainment in regards to four statues they’ll be releasing next July based on characters from the movie. Said statues will be Will Smith’s Deadshot, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc, and Jared Leto’s Joker.

As great as it will be to see those (official images are expected to be released “soon”), even more interesting are the revealing new Suicide Squad story details which have been released. Is Enchantress the “enigmatic, insuperable entity” that it refers to Task Force X being assigned to taking down, or could the team be facing a threat we don’t actually know about yet?

Check out the summary below and decide for yourself:

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

This is a great tease for Suicide Squad, and with so much focus on Batman V Superman recently after the release of that new trailer, it’s nice to be reminded that Warner Bros. has a second DC Comics movie coming out in 2016.
