A few weeks ago, Rob Zombie announced that he’d finally moved on to the sound mixing stage for the upcoming Three From Hell. In the days since, the director has repeatedly taken to Instagram with photos and updates on his long-awaited sequel, and as the process nears completion, the Lords of Salem helmsman has again returned to the platform to share one more pic.
As you can see, the photo features an image of Bill Moseley, who’ll be reprising his role as Otis B. Driftwood from House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. The pic is just the latest of several that Zombie has shared from the sound mixing room, but there’s a good chance that it will be the last, since the director’s caption suggests the end is near:
“Well, boils and ghouls 3 FROM HELL is almost finished. I know it seems like we’ve been working on this forever, but it must be perfect.”
Seeing how Otis hasn’t graced our screens in almost fourteen years, fans can surely afford to hang on a little longer until Zombie is happy with the final product. Still, it would be nice to at least get a release date for the movie, or even a few plot details.
As it stands, what we know about the flick has mostly been gathered from set photos that Zombie has shared. One thing we can tell you is that the film sees the return of Otis and his similarly psychotic peers Vera-Ellen “Baby” Firefly and Captain Spaulding, played by Sheri Moon Zombie and Sid Haig, respectively. From the look of things, the titular trio will spend much of the movie in jail or on trial, but we’ll find out just how long they stay locked up for when Three From Hell comes out later this year.
