As evidenced by the steady stream of set photos, Atlanta is still playing host to Avengers 4, Marvel’s unnamed sequel currently on course for a release in 2019.

Nipping at the heels of Infinity War (May 4th, 2018), directors Joe and Anthony Russo have now switched gears to orchestrate the second, conclusive chapter in their two-part epic, which presumably pits Earth’s Mightiest Heroes against Thanos for the final time in May of 2019.

Practically every MCU hero is expected to feature in some shape or form, but with Infinity War promising to bring about some pretty major deaths, and Marvel refusing to release an official cast list, fans have been playing the guessing game when it comes to who will and won’t live to see Avengers 4. Luckily, set pics have given us a pretty good idea of which heroes will be back in action for the sequel, and thanks to a photo that Robert Downey Jr. posted on Instagram earlier this week, we can now confirm three more!

Yes, that’s right. Black Widow, Cap and Ant-Man will all be involved in the Phase 3 finale. Not that anyone thought they wouldn’t, mind you. Well, there may have been some uncertainty over Cap, given that Chris Evans is nearing the end of his contract, but we fully expect both Natasha Romanoff and Scott Lang to be around the MCU for a while longer. Not to mention we’ve also seen set pics of Evans and Paul Rudd surface over the past few weeks. Still, this is the first real, concrete proof we have of them being involved in the film and it’s nice to know that the three fan favorites will indeed be back.

Once Thor: Ragnarok brings the curtain down on the studio’s 2017 offerings on November 3rd, Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther solo movie will introduce fans to Wakadan royalty on February 16th, before Joe and Anthony Russo wage Avengers: Infinity War on May 4th, 2018. And after that? The untitled Avengers 4, which is currently slated for release on May 3rd, 2019.
