Played by Robert Downey Jr. who appeared in various MCU installments including all four Avengers films, Iron Man paved the path for a plethora of the saga’s entries whose relentless popularity and success at the box office have shaped the saga to become what it is today.

As much as fans will love to see Tony Stark’s return, the chances of Iron Man 4 happening are virtually non-existent. In fact, Robert Downey Jr. completely ignored the question when it was recently put to him for the umpteenth time.

The Iron Man star was interviewed during his red carpet appearance at the Downey’s Dream Car premiere when he was asked about his willingness to star in a Tropic Thunder sequel if Tom Cruise wants him to.

Downey Jr., who appeared alongside the Top Gun: Maverick star in the 2008 hit, “That’s kind of a yes.” Following that, he qas questioned whether there will be an Iron Man 4. Instead of addressing the question, the actor chose to laughingly dodge it by remarking, “Does he (Cruise) want me to do that?” and left the scene.

With the reticence of people behind the possibility to confirm or deny, one can’t say with certainty about an Iron Man 4 release, but we can keep speculating until there’s an answer.
