Robert Downey Jr. Trolls Tom Holland About Spoiling Avengers: Endgame

As one of the victims of Thanos’ snap in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, Tom Holland has largely been excluded from the Avengers: Endgame press tour, and even the gave the film’s world premiere a miss. The Spider-Man actor therefore hasn’t been given too many opportunities to drop one of his patented spoilers, but just to keep the star on his toes, Robert Downey Jr. has tweeted him a quick reminder to keep his mouth shut.

It was less than a year ago that Holland famously walked into a packed showing of Infinity War and gave away the ending to the whole crowd. And now that Endgame has finally arrived in theaters, Downey has shared a meme of the Spider-Man: Homecoming lead trying to keep himself in check, along with the following message:

“Is this a shot of @TomHolland1996 trying to keep himself from spilling the Endgame beans?”

Since Holland has mostly stayed out of the loop when it comes to Endgame promotion, Mark Ruffalo has instead served as the film’s primary spoiler source. In an interview earlier this month, for instance, the Hulk actor gave away the final twist of the entire movie, while under the impression that he was actually describing one of the script’s fake scenes.

But going back to Holland, it’s a little ironic that the star’s next Marvel movie essentially serves as one big Avengers: Endgame spoiler. We are, of course, referring to Spider-Man: Far From Home, in which Peter Parker is back to his usual web-slinging self, and is quite clearly no longer a pile of dust. Good for him, but we’ll find out how the wall-crawler brings the MCU’s Phase 3 to a close when the film hits theaters on July 2nd.
