As many viewers found out the hard way, Forest Whitaker’s character, Saw Gerrera, didn’t make much of an impact in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. But if you find yourself wanting more, you’re in luck, as Mr. Gerrera is now set to appear in Disney XD’s Star Wars Rebels. There’s a promo poster to prove it, too – which you can check out down below.
The details regarding his animated debut are pretty limited, but the poster suggests he’ll arrive sooner rather than later. Until then, if you’re fixing to put this poster on your wall, it wouldn’t hurt to stop by your nearest Toys “R” Us store, as they’re being handed out for free to a few lucky customers at various locations.
Premiering back in 2014, Star Wars Rebels is currently in its third season on the Disney-owned channel. Rogue One screenwriter Gary Whitta took a more active role within this ongoing batch of episodes, which suggests an increased effort on Disney’s part to intercut the franchise on both the big and small screens, not unlike what they’re doing with Marvel. After all, what would the rebellion be without focusing the rebels themselves?
