Ronda Rousey Is Interested In Playing Captain Marvel

Clearly getting a little bored of mopping the floor with her opponents in the Octagon, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has been preparing to switch her focus more to the big screen. Having already appeared in the likes of The Expendables 3 and Furious 7, it seems like the rowdy one might be looking to branch out a bit more, and what better way to make a name for yourself than starring as Marvel's first female headliner, Captain Marvel?

Clearly getting a little bored of mopping the floor with her opponents in the Octagon, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey has been preparing to switch her focus more to the big screen. Having already appeared in the likes of The Expendables 3 and Furious 7, it seems like the rowdy one might be looking to branch out a bit more, and what better way to make a name for yourself than by starring as Marvel’s first female headliner, Captain Marvel?

In her recent Reddit AMA, Rousey was asked which superhero she’d most like to play, and replied with the following:

“A lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel!”

Just in case you’re confused, the Carol Danvers character (now Captain) went by Miss Marvel for years before the name change. There’s no denying Rousey looks the part and would definitely be able to rise to the physical demands of playing a Marvel superhero… but she really is lacking the experience to step into this sort of role after only recently enough crossing over into acting, and chances are the studio would be looking at a much bigger name anyway. Still, we’ll see how her campaigning goes.

Tell us, do you think Rousey would make a good Captain Marvel? Sound off below!
