The Russo Brothers Share Another Mysterious Avengers: Infinity War BTS Photo

Avengers: Infinity War is now shooting in Atlanta, and while we were recently treated to a behind the scenes sizzle reel which was quite enjoyable, chances are we won't see anything more from the movie for quite some time. After all, Marvel Studios has a lot of other Phase 3 releases to promote before they can get to this one, but that hasn't stopped directors Joe and Anthony Russo from sharing a very intriguing new set photo.

Avengers: Infinity War is now shooting in Atlanta, and while we were recently treated to a behind the scenes sizzle reel which was quite enjoyable, chances are we won’t see anything more from the movie for quite some time. After all, Marvel Studios has a lot of other Phase 3 releases to promote before they can get to this one, but that hasn’t stopped directors Joe and Anthony Russo from sharing a very intriguing new set photo.

Like a lot of the other pics they share via social media, it doesn’t make too much sense on the surface, but if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that it does hold some significance.

Check it out below:

As you can see, the photo is a close-up of some sort of steel grate, which instantly brings back memories of the storage container Thanos retrieved the Infinity Gauntlet from in Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s mid-credits scene, when he declared that it was finally time that he assembled the Infinity Stones himself. That’s obviously something we’ll see play out in Avengers: Infinity War, though this photo indicates that we’ll be spending some more time wherever the Mad Titan keeps this powerful weapon contained.

Still, it’s not much good without the Stones which power it, so we can expect a big chunk of the film to revolve around him hunting those down. Once he does so, though, the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be in serious peril, hence why all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will need to come together to take him on in both Avengers: Infinity War and its untitled sequel.

Unfortunately, the Russo brothers didn’t deliver any other goodies today, but with production on the blockbuster now in full swing, expect more pics to trickle out over the coming months, as the directors are usually pretty good at keeping fans in the loop.
