Yes, he really got into the role.

Anyway, a couple of photos made their way online, but now Reynolds himself has Tweeted out an hilarious video of him in character as the Merc with a Mouth, recruiting his team of mini-mutants. It’s pretty clear that the whole thing is set up of course (Reynolds berates the young ‘uns and drops a few F-bombs in their presence), but that doesn’t make it any less funny.

The video serves as a promo of sorts for the Tim Miller-directed movie, and taking those set visit details from earlier on into account, perhaps we can expect even more marketing over the next few days. For now though, here’s the synopsis:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool arrives in theaters February 12, 2016.
