Ryan Reynolds Rewards Fan Who Redirected Avengers: Endgame URLs To Deadpool

As the disfigured face of the Deadpool movies and a continuing source of trouble for Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds ought to know a good troll when he sees it. Sure enough, when a fan acquired the domains for “AvengersEndgame.com” and “AvengersEndgameMovie.com,” and redirected them both to the web portal for Once Upon a Deadpool, the star decided that the prankster needed to be rewarded.

Twitter user Guy Inchair ‏announced earlier this month that he was in possession of the two most obvious addresses for Avengers: Endgame websites, adding that he would be willing to trade the domains for tickets to the Los Angeles premiere of next year’s Avengers: Infinity War sequel. And while it remains to be seen whether Disney will take him up on the offer, Reynolds seems pretty delighted with the whole situation, sending his fan a case of goods from Aviation Gin, a company which the actor bought a significant stake in earlier this year.

Reynolds followed up his gift with a message to Guy Inchair via Twitter as well, saying:

“This isn’t to say I’m proud of what you did. Just that I happen to love you.”

As much as Reynolds may appreciate the troll in Deadpool’s honor, it looks like Guy Inchair has already changed his mind about which Marvel hero he wants to pay tribute to. At the time of writing, both “AvengersEndgame.com” and “AvengersEndgameMovie.com” now redirect to a 2015 YouTube video in which Jeremy Renner sings a Hawkeye-themed parody of Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Perhaps the fan is gunning for more presents from the MCU’s greatest archer.

In any case, while Once Upon a Deadpool is no longer getting exposure from Guy Inchair’s two domains, the Deadpool 2 re-release is still in the midst of its two-week run in cinemas. Avengers: Endgame, on the other hand, hits theaters on April 26th, 2019, and will probably do just fine in its marketing without a couple more URLs to make use of.
