Andrew Dominik, the director of the fantastic film The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford is putting together quite the cast for his next film, Cogan’s Run. He is already reuniting with Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck (rumoured but probable) and now, you can add one more actor to the list, Mr. Sam Rockwell.
The heist drama, based on George V. Higgins’ novel, sees Pitt playing Jackie Cogan, “a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that takes place during a high stakes poker game held under the protection of the mob.”
Production is set to start in March and apparently, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Bill Murray, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana are all hovering around the film, although none are confirmed.
With Pitt and Rockwell confirmed and Affleck probable, you can be sure this will be a home run. The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford was a great film and I can’t wait to see what Dominik does with Cogan’s Run.
