Samuel L. Jackson is a famously prolific actor who currently has several feature films lined up for release this year, and between his many gigs, it seems that the star has little time to read what the fans are saying about the upcoming Avengers: Endgame.

The Nick Fury actor was at the London premiere of Captain Marvel, where he was asked by Metro to share his thoughts on the various theories surrounding the Avengers: Infinity War sequel. As it turns out, Jackson doesn’t have a whole lot to say about all the speculation:

“I haven’t paid attention. I’ve been busy doing stuff. […] I was doing press for Glass, now I’m doing press for this, and getting ready to start another film. So I’m kind of caught up in three different things, so I haven’t paid attention. I know they have them, because that’s what they do.”

As it stands, we’ve yet to receive any confirmation that Jackson even shows up in Endgame. In fact, the actor seemed to outright deny that he had a role in the film during a recent appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, but in his interview with Metro, Jackson chose to remain tight-lipped on the matter:

“I didn’t say anything. I just said I don’t know. That’s the answer we’re instructed to give.”

Though Jackson is only confirmed to appear in two out of this year’s three MCU releases, there remains the distinct possibility of a 2019 Marvel hat-trick, especially when Infinity War left Fury’s story on a cliffhanger that Endgame is expected to resolve. In fact, seeing how Nick’s buddying up with Carol Danvers for Captain Marvel, there could be the opportunity for an emotional reunion between the pair in Carol’s next film.

Either way, Fury’s return is just one more matter that fans can speculate on before Avengers: Endgame finally hits theaters on April 26th, 2019. In the meantime, you can catch Jackson in Captain Marvel when it comes out on March 8th.
