San Andreas Will Further Crowd The Summer 2015 Movie Season

It's almost as if Hollywood is playing some kind of sick joke on moviegoers, and movie bloggers. It's like all the studios got together and said "hey, why don't we see if we can make the Summer of 2015 the busiest movie season ever." With high-profile blockbusters like Jurassic World, Batman vs. Superman, Terminator 5, Ant-Man, Tomorrowland, Avengers: Age of Ultron and many, many others all releasing between May and August of that year, I have no doubt that that's exactly what Hollywood execs must have been thinking.

It’s almost as if Hollywood is playing some kind of sick joke on moviegoers, and movie bloggers. It’s like all the studios got together and said “hey, why don’t we see if we can make the Summer of 2015 the busiest movie season ever.” With high-profile blockbusters like Jurassic World, Batman vs. Superman, Terminator 5, Ant-Man, Tomorrowland, Avengers: Age of Ultron and many, many others all releasing between May and August of that year, I have no doubt that that’s exactly what Hollywood execs must have been thinking.

Now, just when you thought that it couldn’t get any busier, Dwayne Johnson will be showing up with his earthquake film San Andreas, which has just been given a June 5th, 2015 release date. The Brad Peyton-directed flick was scripted by Carey and Chad Hayes and follows a man who must travel across California to rescue his daughter when a massive earthquake strikes.

It doesn’t end there either, as the studio is hoping that the property has franchise potential. Perhaps 2016 will see The Rock taking on a tsunami? Or even a hurricane?

Regardless of whether or not we get to see one of Hollywood’s hottest action stars continue to fight against mother nature, he will be going up against an earthquake, and you will get to see him do it in 2015.

Tell us, are you excited to see Dwayne Johnson in San Andreas? Which 2015 movie are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments section below.
