Scarlet Witch May Get Her Comic-Accurate Costume For Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

A new rumor states that Scarlet Witch will finally get her comic-accurate costume in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

You could argue that Scarlet Witch has been a little underused in the MCU to date, with the surviving Maximoff twin having to scrape by with limited screentime in team-up movies. However, that should change in Phase 4. Not only is WandaVision on the way, but Elizabeth Olsen will co-star with Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And it looks like the movie will finally do something that fans have been waiting to see since the heroine debuted in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

We Got This Covered has been informed that Doctor Strange 2 will see Scarlet Witch getting a comic-accurate costume. This intel comes from the folks over at the Lords of the Long Box YouTube channel, who reached out to us directly with the scoop. Given that this hasn’t been confirmed by the studio yet, we advise taking it with the usual grain of salt. However, Olsen has previously told us that WandaVision will explore Wanda’s character deeper than ever before and also explain how she comes to be known as Scarlet Witch.

That being said, it seems Marvel will hold off on giving her the comic costume until her next appearance in Doctor Strange 2. The two projects will be closely linked, though, as the Disney Plus series arrives in Spring 2021 while Multiverse drops in May.

As for what a comic-accurate outfit could consist of, well, the main thing it needs to get right is Wanda’s headpiece, which honestly they should’ve got around to giving her by now. Still, if we’re set for a real deep dive into who the character is, then Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness should be worth the wait and might just find itself as one of Phase 4’s most anticipated releases – if it’s not already.
